Miss Lillian Snelgrove returned home yesterday after attending the I commencement exercises at Wiuthrop I College whore she graduated wHh honors two years ago. Miss Snelgrove has Just been elect ed as professor of domestic science at Winthrop College to take the place of Miss Huntington Who has been ap pointed assistant in the State (tome i Economics work. Miss Snelgrove is ! u graduate of the Anderson high school and a daughter of Mr. W. P. Snelgrove of this city. Since ber graduation two years ago she has been teaching domestic science at Al bertsvllle. Ala., where she has glved complete satisfaction. Camden, June 4.-Crace church was the scene of a brilliant and beau tiful wedding Wednesday evening, when Miss Harriet Burnett Shannon, second dane hti of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Shannon, becann* the bride of Mr. George W. Brunson, Jr., of Green ville. The church was simply but beautifully decorated with a pleasing note of green and white. The aisle was carpeted 1n white and the altar banked In smilax, ferns and white roses. Mr. and Mrs. Brunson left on the northbound train for their wedding trip, after which they will be at home to their friends in Greenville, where Mr. Brunson ls editor of the Dally News. On Tuesday of this week, the degree of Doctor of Divinity was conferred hy trustees of Erskine College upon F .?JV. J. M. Garrison, pastor of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian church of this city. Mr. Garrison graduated at Erskine lu 1888 with distinction and most of hin time since then has been spent preaching.
