AD WRITERS CONTEST
Three Merchants Received Ads
Yesterday Written in
Poetry.
Interest In the Amateur Ad Writ
ers contest is growing hourly. The
merchants reported a great number
of inquiries yesterday. Three mer
chants received ads yesterday, and
strange to say, all three were writ
ten In poetry.
One lady said yesterday that she
hud written two ads before the an
nouncement of the lifyt cents for each
accepted ad, besides the three prizes,
but since that announcement, she had
gone to work in de; . earnest to make
herself some pin money. She hus
gotteu her information and is hard
at work now preparing the different
ads to submit to the different mer
chants. She is not only enthusiastic
about her chance to make some extra
money, but she Ba VB she is enjoying
tho contest Immensely.
There are lots and lots of people
trying for thc first prize In this con
teat. They are keeping still about '
t, in the hopes that more people will
tot enter, thus cutting down their
mauces of success. If you have not ,
a t entered, you had better begin at .
nice, for tho contest closes Friday
icon; that is. all copy must be in the \
lands of tho merchants by noon Fri
lay, May 21st.
There's eighteen dollars of good. ?
var Ume money to be given away to '
he persons who have some gray mat- :
er, and are not afraid to use lt in a
riendly and interesting contest. So, '
lore's a good tip: sharpen your ?ead 1
pencil and your wits, and begin on
our copy-its not too late to get a '
?hunk of that eighteen dollars. <
