Burned beyond recognition i n the fire that- broke out about 1:30 a. m. was Dr. W. G. Singleton, 34, a native of Newberry, S. C., who had been practicing in Shelby since lb47. Singleton, is a veteran physician,, and his mother Mrs. Nam-y Singleton, is well known in rehtrtous, civic and social circles.
