The census of the stream’s life will be conducted by the Academy of Natural Sconces of Philadelphia, under the sponsorship of E. I. du Pont de Nemours & Company, which is building a plant for the manufacture of “Orion” acrylic fiber at Camden. Purpose of the study of the Wateree is to assist work at the plant for pollution abatement, on which Du Pont has spent more than $15,000,000 in a continuing company-wide program. The Wateree program, which is one of the first of its kind in the nation, was announced over the weekend following a meeting of state and Du Pont representatives in the Office of L. W.
