John Edward Gronski, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Walter Gronski of 8909 Broadway, Everett, Washing ton, on Tuesday, December 0, in Basel, Switzerland. Carlot- ta Gsckwind, registrar of Ba sel, performed the wedding ceremony. Mrs. Gronski chose a three- piece white wool suit with short white veil and black ac cessories for her wedding. Her corsage was three red rose buds. Aftr a short stay in Switzer land, the bridal couple return ed to Gelnhausen, Germany, where Sgt. Gronski is station ed. I The bride is a 1964 graduate of Clinton High School and attended two years at the Uni- attended the University of South Carolina for two years. The groom is a 1962 graduate of Soap Lake High School in Washington and attended two years at Eastern Washington State College. Church Group Given Dinner On Friday evening, Mr. and Mrs. George T. Copeland hon ored the Sunday school teach ers and officers of the Asso ciate Reform Presbyterian Church with a dinner at the fellowship room of the church. The dinner was served buf fet style from a large table centered with an arrangement of white carnations and red berries. Guests were seated at a u-shaped dining table, decorated with traditional greenery, red candles and berries. Poinsettias, holly, greenery and a Christmas tree added to the Christmas spirit of the room. After dinner the guests were entertained with games, di- MISS SHEALY Hortons Give Christmas Party Mr. and Mrs. Horace Hor ton complimented neighbors and friends with-a crrop-in on Christmas Eve night, Decem ber 24, at their lovely home on Walnut Street. Guests ar rived after 7 o’clock. In the living room a huge lighted Christmas tree accent ed the entrance to the stair way. The mantel was decora ted with greenery with clus ters of gold and silver balls centered with a madonna. Smaller arrangements were used at other points of inter est. The entrance arch into the dining area was decorated with mistletoe balls. The buf fet table was overlaid with white linen centered at the back with a silver tree adorn ed with bells and balls. Following dinner; the fami ly gathered around the tree for singing of Christhnas car ols and opening of gifts. A special, highlight of the day was a call from Airman Steve Crowe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harfild Crowej, who is sta tioned in Anchbrage, Alaska, with the Air Force. Sixth Birthday Little Merri Christine Ben jamin celebrated her sixth birthday with a party, De cember 22 at her home in Mountville. After playing games the children joined hands and sang “Happy Birthday” around the table centered with a large cake decorated with red frosting, six white can dles and Frosty-The-Snow- man. Individual cakes topped with candy canes, ice cream and Pepsi Cola were served. Ferguson were hostesses at a tea honoring Miss Sara Sadler and Miss Patricia Fer guson at the Wilson House. Guests included the season’s debutantes and their mothers, who were invited for afternoon tea. Appropriate favors were presented the debutantes by the hostesses. Christmas decorations were used in the receiving rooms and in the dining room, where the tea table was covered by an embroidered cloth and cen tered with an arrangement of red carnations and evergreens. Mrs. R. E. Ferguson, Jr., assisted in entertaining. On the evening of December 22, Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Corn wall and Mr. and Mrs. Robert F. Black entertained at a drop-in honoring their daugh ters, Miss Mary Ellen Corn wall and Miss Betty BlackT at the Cornwall home on* East Carolina Avenue. The debutantes, their es corts, and other guests were received by the hosts and the honorees during the evening. Holiday decorations were used throughout the Cornwall home, where the buffet table held an arrangement of Christmas balls and fruit, flanked by red tapers in silver‘candelabra. Mrs. Earle L. Horton and Mrs. Thomas E. Davenport assisted in entertaining. Meuntville Grange In December Meet J The Mountville Grange held its regular meeting Thursday night, December 15. After the meeting was called to order by the Master, Mr. Talmadge ,Cann, a Christmas program was presented by Mrs. L. R. Adams. A piano prelude, “Silent Night” was played by Mrs. Roy Miller. Mrs. Adams read the Christmas story from Luke 2, as Mrs. Miller played the following selections “O Little Town of Bethlehem”, “Away in A Manger”, “While Shepherds Watch Their Flocks By Night”, and “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing”.
