C., purchased Forest Lawn Cemetery of Laurens South Caro lina. This Company owns and operates 27 Memorial Parks b South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia, Mississippi and Alabama. They have built for the citizens of these communities some of the nicest and best cemeteries in the entire country. They also have in their company some of the finest Memorial Coun selors in the business. * Southern Cemetery Consultants is owned by Dwight A. Holder and Richard 0. Herbert, both are South Carolina men and will work toward the good of the community they serve. These gentlemen are recognized as two of the outstanding ceme- terians of the country. DWIGHT A. HOLDER FMSIDENT Dwight A. Holder, president of For est Lawn Cemetery is a widely recog nized leader in the cemetery industry. He has a background of diversified business interest and has spent the pre- codino fifteen years in the cemetery business. Mr. Holder received his education at Presbyterian College, The University of South Carolina end Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration. He is Secretary - Treasurer and, co founder of the Southern Cemetery Con sultants of Pickens,, S. C., and he is also President of 12 Memorial Parks and Secretary - Treasurer of 13 Memorial Parks in the States of South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Ten nessee and Virginia. Other than the Cemetery business, Mr. Holder is an original organizer of The Pickens Bank and serves as Vice-President; he is also an original Director of the Belton Bank, Belton, S. C.; serves as Secretary-Treasurer of the Blue Ridge Development Corporation, Pickens, S. C.; Vice-President of the Pickens Building and Loan Association and a Member of the Board of Directors. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Blue Ridge Electric Co-op; Chairman of the Board of Carolina Investors, Pickens, S. C.; Prin cipal owner of General Insurance Agency, Pickens, S. C.; Vice-President of Duncan Motor Lines; Charter member and past President of the South Carolina Cemetery Association. ' TOMMY L. MASSINGALE VICE-PRESIDENT Tommy L. Massingale, Vice - Presi dent of Forest Lawn Cemetery, is a resi dent of Clemson, South Carolina, mar ried to the former Bennie Smith of Eas ley, they have three children. Mr. Mas singale is a member of t he Baptist Church and has served on the Board of Deacons and as Superintendent of Sunday School. He is Past Master of Courtenay Lodge # 249 AFM, Past High Priest of Pickens Chapter RAM, Past Il lustrious Master of Pickens Council R&SM, member of Hejaz ’Shrine Temple and is presently serving as commander of S. Maner Martin Commandery and director of Blue Ridge Shrine Club. Mr. Massingale is a member of Elks and Moose clubs. COOPER SECRETARY Jim Cooper is Vice-President and member ef the Board of Directors of Southern Cemetery Consultants, Pick ens, South Carolina, having been asso ciated with this organization for the past four years. He is a native of Laur ens County, a graduate of Hickory Tav- orh High S.hool and Draughon’s Busi ness College. He is a life member of Palmetto Lodge No. 19, a member of the York Rite Bodies of Laurens and of Hejaz Temple. Also, he is President of the Pickens County Shrine Club and a member of the Pickens-Liberty Lions Club.
