at 3:30 o'clock. After the
serviees a congregational meeting
will be held for the purose of securing
a permanent pastor. All
members of the church are urged
to be present.
The Civic League meets on
Thursday afternoon at 4 o'clock
in the Town Hall and a full attendance
is earnestly requested.
There were thirtv six members
at the last meeting and it is hoped
that at this meettng that'number
will be equaled or exceeded- The
officers and executive committee
have determined with the help of
the ladies of the town to make
this year a great era in the history
of the Civic League.

S- C. road a right-of-way down

mills to Main street and a petition
has beer circulated and liberally
signed pledging the railroad
a warehouse site on the
block opposite E. T. Elliott's
stables. If the money cannot be
raised by private subscription the
signers of the petition have agreed

$5,000 to pay for the site.

at the Embroidery Club on Monday
