We oall attention to the tact stated at the head of our editorial column that we publish all official notices, such as probate executors' administrators, referees, as well as the sheriffs sales, whether paid for or not. We will thank those having such to send them to us at the same time that they send them to the Standard. But we will copy all such, so that our readers will be sure to be informed of all matters needing their attention. To Our Beadeft. Those favorable to the existence of an independent paper in Beaufort county are reminded that the commercial has no resources beyond its subscriptions and its business advertisements. It gets nothing from the state and county in the way of official notices." Those which are seen in it are always printed as information to our readers. We urge all who wish for our success to aid us by sending us some new subscribers and paying up their own dues. TO DELINQUENTS. We send out this week bills to oursub'' v^.-jcribcrs who have not paid the two dollars due for our paper during last year and for the current year. Our terms arc inr advance, and we do not intend to make any exceptions to this rule afer July 1, 1874. If you want the Commercial after that time you must pay for it. Legal Sol Ices. Judge Cook has sustained the recent decision of Judge Gree, to the effect that Legal Notices and advertisements, paid for from private funds may be puhlised in any paper selected by the person ad-?.?ciii.Vi nnnpr venismg, nui*nunauu.ue ? i?i? may not be one designated as an "official" paper by the state authorities "official" papers, apply only to such advertisement as arc paid for from state and county funds. Lawyers may therefore ord all estate notice, roferree sales, and sheriff sales to be publised in this papers should they prefer it We guaranty that our circulation is larger and of a more desirable quality' than that of any paper publuted in the county. 8&.
