"This vessel reached her wharf in thia city about
mid-day yesterday, having left New York on Sat
urday afternoon last. We are indebta?l to Capt.

City was advertised to leave New York at C P. M.
on Saturday last for this port.
DHL or Mortal-TV. ? The report of tho City
Registrar for the last week gives as the total num
ber of deaths forty-five, <?: which twonty-fivo were
children, and thirteen adult blacks and colored
leaving but six white adults. Of fevers, there
were six deaths of whites?throe grown and three
children, and of dropsy, Four blacks. Tho mor
tality among children appears greater than it ha3
boon for some weeks, probably tho result of the
extreme hot weather from which we have boon
mifloriiig for some time hack. On the whole, how
ever, tho city continue? remarkably healthy, and
wo trust will continue so until the winter seta in,
which is near at hand, aud when all fears of being
visited by diseases of a malignant type must van
ish.
