She was about 75 years of age and was a member of Union 1 ?aptist Church. Her remains were interred Sunday in the Union church yard. ?Mr. A. Rogers, an aged and respected citizen of Chesterfield county, died at his home at Plains on the 11 tli instant in the (~>~lh year of his age, lie had been a great sufferer from rheumatism for the past 9 years and had been confined to his bed all the time for the past four years. Mr. Rogers was a North Carolinian by birth and moved to Chesterfield from Union county about 25 years ago. lie served through the civil war in the Confederate army and made a good soldier, lie received one wound, through the thigh, while in the service. lie was a member ot the itaptis* church and leaves a widow and ten children.
